I have linked a video that i use to lucid dream. I did it every night for 3 years and it's extremely addicting. I mainly did it to experience people who are now dead or to see people i've not seen in a while, but i also used it for fun too. It has nearly 0 negatives (at least for how i used it) and allows you to revisit places you have created in your head. I have lucid dream worlds and places that i know as well as my home town. It never got bad enough for me to be worried but i did stop before i got too carried away with it. Maybe i should do it again soon!

@DEARDOVESWINGS It's fucking cool, i don't do drugs but i feel as if it's the same kinda feeling. For me lucid dreams are the only time i get REM sleep too so i feel so rested after. Win win

@RATTLESNAKE the feeling alone of being able to close your eyes and find something familiar seems exhilarating

Here is a piece that I am livestreaming indefinitely on youtube. It’s footage from basically everywhere I’ve been in the past 3 years or so. All over America. YouTube is really a blessing; even if it was _just_ a storage platform for video it would be above and beyond anything else. I really recommend finding ways to make stuff for youtube.

i recently watched a youtube video (linked it!) where a guy went on to play on there.com for 30 days and it was such a heartwarming youtube video to watch ! what started as him trying to have a party at the end of the month with finding little to no people playing turned to him highlighting the community thats on there and building somewhat of a connection with them and lowkey made me tear up. was a super fun watch and really also reminded me of the pi.fyi community too like we're all just here for each other and living life

I guess we should never say never (like maybe generative AI will be able to make all sorts of videos in a couple years but let's not think too much about that :P), but I'm glad to reduce my intake of easily generated content like street interviews, gaming streams (which I was never into anyway), or like "20 locations you're NEVER allowed to go" listicle videos, and to increase my intake of stuff like "watch me renovate this dilapidated house over 40 weeks", "I traveled from San Francisco to Seattle using only public transit: Day 1", "here's the life story of this person whose grave I found in a forgotten cemetery in the middle of the woods in rhode island", etc. I love a really longform video where I'm like "there's no way to get AI to make this for you" (video examples are from Tia Weston, AdamDoesNotExist, and Dime Store Adventures, respectively!)

noticing life and slowing things down has helped with every stress my body has, it's also got me going on walks to places i've never been before. I go alone and do walkie talkies sometimes too, which is like an audio journal log. i also get some cool pictures out of it.

waking up at 7am today has been a painfully dreadful existence, and i've only been awake for 52 minutes. How do people do this?
