I carry around this tiny notebook everywhere I go and just write down any thought worth remembering. Itās helping me stay off my phone.
There are pages full of what wouldāve been tweets when I was more chronically online.Theres a lot of quotes from books Iām reading or substack articles. Sometimes itās just lists of tasks like āremember to refill prescriptionā.

It's basically just an analog notes app, but it's something separate from your phone that allows for a little more disconnection from technology. Plus, it's tangible. So you can have a visual representation of the amount of thoughts or ideas that you've had over time. You'll have a collection of mini books that you can go back through and see where your mind has been. I'm about to finish my third little guy, and it's fun to have a collection of pages that represents my ingenuity and reminds me of memories I've forgotten. Sometimes I make myself laugh when I go back through or I contemplate something I said or I disagree with a comment I made a while back, or I feel inspired to rehash something I'd written.
Today I went back through and found a drawing I don't remember doing. I found a short grocery list from who knows when. I found a bunch of ideas I want to go back to. I found these comments too: "A vape is sitting on the subway seat next to me. Should I hit it and see what happens?" and "I'm on the six early in the morning and just watched a homeless man light another homeless man's crack pipe. Sharing is caring."

I carry a mini notebook with me and a lil pack of crayons/pens. I donāt have any socials on my phone (besides this) and if I need a lil brain break or alone time or something to waste time I pull out my lil book and crayons and pens.
I love it. Helps me be present. Remember my goodish thoughts. Track memories. Itās nice, I recommend. also cool to look back on

i always buy a small notebook. Bring everywhere. Write anything in it. Shopping list, poem, drawing, crazy idea, list of things that annoyed me, etc.

I found out a friend annotates every book he reads. I donāt think I could ever do that, but I would love to read something heās annotated. More than that I would love to read a book someone has specifically annotated with me in mind.

This was at some company event he was hired to work at. I was mostly upset that the Totally Spies graphic tee was being obstructed by the balloon plane.
