It’s exactly what it sounds like - an art gallery inside a u-haul truck. But if you really think about it, it’s also a cool statement about commodification of space in the city that’s stifling creativity and art.

The new interactive music exhibit in particular (Songs of New York) is a fun litlte excursion: it features music from more than 100 artists, from the 1920s through the present, showcasing styles from bebop to K-pop across every genre, borough and musical moment of the past 100+ years.
I well and truly was today years old when I discovered this.

Check out the hottest club in New York (Toronto)! It has everything: mini ivory statues of biblical scenes from 9th century Europe, a mirror installation from a Japanese artist whose name I forgot, remembrandt paintings, Afro Caribbean sculptures that wear gold air jordans, and paintings from loud of indigenous artists that made me feel alive again. And best of all? Free entrance if you have their youth annual pass for people between the ages of 14-24 baby!!

I recently visited the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. I’ve been before and I do enjoy many artists and artworks displayed, though this time I was eyeing something else. Humans in the Isle of Manhattan are always a specific type of special, but when showing up and spending their hard-earned money on a museum ticket; theres visual magic. I spent this trip in and around the MoMA taking photos of the people/scenes I thought needed to be captured.

...and making peace with that. Been in the biggest reading slump because I wasn't vibing with The Idiot by Elif Batuman but desperately wanted to push through bc it got shortlisted for Pulitzer. 65% in, I just had to admit it wasn't for me and abandon it. Flying through books I've been wanting to read now and feeling so much better about myself :)
