The views off the west coast of the peninsula are beautiful. A good sunset from there is breathtaking. Pier 57 is a pretty good food court type thing with public bathrooms. The docks south of the World Trade Center are usually pretty chill and scenic too. I havenβt spent as much time on the eastern side but Iβm pretty sure thereβs a park on the edge of east village that may or may not be nice
Remote but that's part of the appeal -- maybe most peaceful place of the city. unbeatable sunsets, great view of manhattan, saw a red beaked swan here once and a totally black mallard. perfect little stone benches for watching the water and the sky.
