Coming up on the 20th anniversary of this album. Death Cab for Cutie’s first album on a major record label following being name dropped by southern california’s saddest rich kids in The O.C. A 30-second clip of “Crooked Teeth” was my ringtone in 10th grade. The Plans tour was also my first big kid concert (Webster Hall in NYC). For me this is a no-skip album. The single “I Will Follow You into the Dark” was appropriately hyped. I recommend listening to it all the way through in one sitting.
