Whenever I get sick I love a constant flow of comforting movies. I also deeply enjoy a theme. When I get really sick and can spend a whole day doing nothing, I decide on about 5 movies and get to it. Last year I did Jane Fonda movies, this year was the hunger games. Glorious. Also really funny to log on Letterboxd

🌱i came down with a rough cold on friday and am still down for the count on monday but i’ve put my couch rest to good use and have watched 6 movies so far! i watched studio ghibli movies when i was little but i barely remember them so i rewatched totoro and ponyo last year. but i’m finally expanding my studio ghibli palette and i watched the secret world of arrietty, princess mononoke, castle in the sky, and rewatched totoro again (how could i resist!) im about to watch spirited away and i’m very excited, i’ve only heard good things. (the other 2 movies i watched were the umbrellas of cherbourg and cléo from 5 to 7 if you were wondering and i loved both)

📽My Texan girlfriend introduced me to this beautiful experience. Speaking from personal experience, if your northern sensibilities make you believe that skillet queso is not the perfect accompaniment to cozy seats and the silver screen, you cannot be more wrong. Currently hoping that our DC theatre will still have the witches brew for me to sip on as I rewatch wicked for the fourth time.
