theyre weird and beautiful and smart and change colour. I loved them anyway and then I read Other Minds: The Octopus and the Evolution of Intelligent Life and I loved them even more, as well as other intelligent cephalopods like colour changing cuttle fish. Learning about how they change colour, essentially evolving two different types of biological pixels in their skin, is unbelievable. It doesnβt sound real, its like real life magic.
