two shoegaze bands formed in 2010, awesome sounds all around. linked is a split EP that they released, two songs from each band. also one of my favorite shoegaze albums is beat by bowery electric. superb wall of sound, trip-hop drums and sparse lyrics.

Zoom-gaze band with a rough diy sound and ethereal lyrics, but strangely haunting and effective

In the BBs‘ tumultuous early 70s period, they decided to leave the Cali shore for - the Netherlands. They brought a whole entourage & reassembled a soundboard built for them in LA, leading to one of the most expensive records made at the time. Stand outs are the moody and strangely heavy “Steamboat,” the mini rock opera “California Saga,” the rollicking “The Trader,” and the closer “Funky Pretty,” a strange but tuneful pop song that only could’ve come from Brian Wilson’s beautiful and deteriorating mind.

Ok don’t be a little fascist about it but sometimes when ur hanging with/going to hang with people, everyone does the polite little “ohhh I don’t know what do YOU wanna do” I am someone who chronically doesn’t wanna disappoint or force an action on a group (picking the movie, time, restaurant, etc) - however, as I get older, I’ve realized - it’s highly valuable to being around others to come through with ideas and, ultimately, a choice Don’t force it! Be open and listen! But the homies can’t choose? Help move the hang forward - all will thank u.
