make more traditions with friends and family!! watching every new horror movie that comes out with my sister; weekly rendezvous at the park adjacent to our work where my friend and I soak in the sun and catch up; going to a tiny bar that does cheap beer and the greasiest tastiest pizza slices every month with a close friend; having tea and spilling tea (gossip oops) with another friend; laying in the sun and playing each other an album we heard that week with another close friend tell me some of yours!

reading, eating, playing, obsessing, recommending (of course), and treat! i saw someone do this on tiktok like a year ago and it’s such a sweet way to stay in touch with people and get a glimpse of what they’re up to while also practicing some gratitude :)

My friends and I switch off on planning one hangout each month where we do something new and it’s the best!! Doesn’t have to be expensive or anything, just out of the ordinary. We keep the activity a surprise until day of :) great for friend groups who are truly down for whatever. April’s field trip was to a marionette theatre and it was unironically amazing. We’ve gone axe throwing, taken a cooking class, seen standup, all kinds of stuff. Get creative!!

then the sun sets behind them and you laugh together, they say something absurd, you put on a movie to watch together, and you feel like home is wherever they are (not to mention the harmless teasing to make you feel like you belong in that makeshift home, against all the odds)

I was cleaning my sink today and noticed the tiniest seedling sprouting inside. i'm so confused at the dynamics of this and it blows my mind how life finds its way even in the darkest and murkiest environments

i was 16 when youtube first recommended a song called 'sugar for the pill' by some band i had never heard of. i clicked, i loved, and 2 days later i was deep down the slowdive rabbithole. and being a teenage boy in India i NEVER thought i'd see them live. but life has a way of working out, and my 16 year old self was OVER THE MOON at their concert last night. i don't think life will ever be the same again. thank you slowdive, i love you (but i realllyyy wished they played golden hair, i was soo ready to weep like a baby hiasdhlfadsf)
