we actually barely talked that night because we were both having so much fun talking to everyone......he made so many friends and it added an extra joke element to the party....he told me later that he was actively grateful for the invite and did in fact have a wonderful time. love it. don't think im going to go on a date with him but he is definitely invited to the next function

When I first met this dude from the Hinge app, I drove about an hour north to his mom’s house (where he lived) while she was out of town visiting his sister’s family for thanksgiving. I had talked to this dude for about a month on the phone (not text, actually hour-plus calls) cause he was a bit older and more old-fashioned (texting with him seemed like conversing with a dumb child). First time we spoke on the phone was a full moon on Halloween night. He told me he loved me cause I think he was out late with friends doing drugs. (Obviously already a flag of some sort, but over the month conversing, he won me over.) Now, to the in-person meeting: as I got out of my car at his house, I see this skinny, long-haired, shirtless hippy on the second story porch. He comes down the stairs to greet me, and we hug as I’m polite and do like him. As I follow him up the stairs to his front door, I see his shorts are sagging quite a bit. I stared at his cute little butt crack the whole way up… that entire first day/date was so crazy and awkward but also amazing and comfortable. Fast forward to now, I am still “homies” with this dude over four years later, but definitely one of the most awkward experiences first meeting someone.

it was my first year of university and i didn’t have a canadian id yet since i had just moved from california, so i left my id at home. telling the person at the door that i was 18 seemed to be enough for them to let me in though. he came over a little while after i walked in, asked me to dance, and we chatted for a bit. we sat on the stairs at this persons house and talked about music and how he used to be a beekeeper. i wouldn’t give him any of my contact information, so he finally gave me his business card with his phone number and email and asked me to call. i said i never would, went home, put the card on my fridge and then a week later, invited him to go out to a haunted house with a few friends of mine. and from then on, it’s been going strong.

i was on it for a few months and i thought it was wack at the time because i found the conversations stale and hard to maintain without having like 2 week gaps in between msgs. butttttt after the first meaningful and fun convo i ever had on hinge, I ended up meeting her the next night - my gf who ive been with ever since! <3. now i like the concept as i think all it takes is one good person and a bit of luck to change ur life through it

small scale website where u share one song per day.... ur feed is just everyone on the app instead of a curated following list which i think is actually quite awesome and forces you to make sisters out of peers
