Been out of commission this week due to an injury and I’ve been loving this time to reflect on what’s going on with my life. It reminded me of lockdown when I reevaluated everything and changed my life. I’m not saying I’ll do something as drastic as that, but I’m definitely thinking about all the good that I got going on. Funny how some random shit can make ya ass look within and shit.

not taking on additional work or tasks. not working ahead. not having to be productive. a strange break in my schedule has given me a lot of free-time this week, and i have grown to value being bored sometimes more than always having to conquer some aspect of my life. yeah yeah everything is good in moderation but if i want to watch a 50 part tiktok series of some woman talking about her husband instead of doing a project 2 weeks early let me!!!!

my morning plans got cancelled, so I had a big chunk of my day completely free to just roam around the city & really take things in.
the world looks & feels incredibly different when you’re not rushing to get from point A to point B on a tight schedule & have the freedom to just observe without any looming time constraints. such a lovely feeling & I gotta remind myself to take pauses more often so I don’t feel like I’m getting sucked into an incessant work/errands/appointments loop with no end.
today was a lovely reminder of that!

idk it sucks when you get covid, but if the symptoms aren't too bad it's a transportive experience to be forcibly detached from the world and from your loved ones for ~ten days. you have to recalibrate. or maybe just calibrate. it also feels a little like time travel back to lockdown era. time continues to evaporate bro like being here on this site thinking about using myspace on an imac whenever that was.
