This week we had a bunch of snow and I’ve been burnt out from work and new health issues and post date sadness, so I didn’t bother trying to relocate any of my seedlings. But this morning I went out to check out the damage and found that my roommate had moved all of them (and there’s a lot) into safe spots and none of them died 🥺 Genuinely made me tear up a lil. I used to think I could never live with roommates, but now I can’t imagine being without 💛

What once was your run of the mill student house, is now slowly becoming a grown up house.
Something that I really cherish about my current living situation is getting to grow up with my housemates. We've now all lived together for nearly 3 years and lots of things have changed. While our house might still look like a regular student house to the untrained eye, we've been slowly upgrading several parts of our house. Such as now having a working freezer, a decent tv, no couches with giant holes in them and last but not least.. plants in our bathroom. We are catching up on decades of students living here and neglecting the space, but verrrryyy slowly it's turning into a home. Technically it's not even a student house anymore, as 2 of us have graduated and started working 'proper' office jobs. This is just a small appreciation for my housemates for being pleasant to live with and the universe for giving me a place to live where we might not mob the floor every week, but I would actually feel safe eating a dropped grape from the floor most days.

economically speaking it is probably very bad that so many people who move out of their parents’ place need roommates. HOWEVER i just got home in a weepy mood and as soon as i opened the door my roommate started singing and requested to watch saturday night fever soooo
