I was assigned the Goddess of the underworld for a middle school project and have loved her ever since. She embodies the duality of the Divine Feminine: darkness and light, as well as the cycle of death and rebirth that occurs with the changing seasons. Pomegranates are also my favorite fruit (& the reason she’s allowed to return to earth in the springtime) (Also,, they connect to the High Priestess tarot card of balancing the natural and spiritual worlds).
Eros is the god of erotic desire and Psyche means human soul. I love that Psyche learns she should’ve trusted her pure love and resisted the pressures of surface-level desires. But he forgives her <3 Just an epic love story that transcends mortality.
