I have had enough of “prestige” modern television which seems to be built on shock value, cliff hangers, and horrible/morally compromised characters.
I could go on and on about this show but quite simply, a mystery is presented and solved within each self contained episode and the good guys always win. The special effects are kitschy and fun and while there is a lot of mildly problematic and dated aspects to the writing - I would say it holds up pretty well generally speaking. Great “comfort“ show or whatever ppl say these days.

Might not be enjoyed by everyone, with how it is heavily gory, crude and with main characters who are stupid a lot of the time. But for others like me, that’s hilarious and I love the way that James Gunn manages to balance that with great character development and emotion, as well as a very engaging story where each episode ends on a big cliffhanger. Haven’t had this much fun watching a series in a while!
