📺Youtuber, influencer, & brand owner Jacob Wallace released a new “object dyed shell jacket” (beautiful), along with a video & quick Q&A. In that Q&A, Jacob, Fernando, and Trevor were asked about their opinions on the current state of Fashion Youtube. This is where I first heard of Christian Scibetta’s Brave New Wear channel.Here you can find excellent clothing reviews, deep dives into topics you probably have only dedicated a few seconds of thought to, and high effort videos on other cultural topics, from furniture to fashion reps. He also has a poppin discord with a sizable userbase crossover with the PI cord.I’m sure that I’m late on the train to this channel (better late than never!), but for the rest of you who are unaware, check it out — it’s super entertaining content.

👖I’ve always had difficulty shopping for clothes. A mixture of ignorance and a lanky profile. In the past year, with the help of my girlfriend, I’ve started to enjoy investing in well made pieces. I have 2 pairs of Evan Kinori pants. He is a pattern and garment maker in San Francisco. They both are some of my favorite pants I’ve ever owned and only seem to get better with age. One of the pairs is dyed with fermented persimmon (kakishibu) and dried in the sun giving it a unique pattern. I’d wear everything he makes.

One of my favourite designers as of recent, Karston Kroening, is dropping a new collection this year titled 'Seraphim'. A couple of the pieces are already online on his store but some of my favourite pieces have yet to be released. I really like how he takes influence from everywhere in his life, for example, his 'RAZIEL 001 CREWNECK' takes inspiration from Neon Genesis Evangelion, where as his currently unreleased parka he showcased in his most recent pickups video on his youtube channel takes inspiration from old duck hunting jackets his father used to wear. All of his work from this upcoming collection seems to have really unique patterning which Karston describes as 'Mecha Angelic Patterning'. He also dropped an amazing collection with Sam Liepke inspired by Karston's rural upbringing, mixed with a more sleek and modern take on fashion. His work is really intriguing to me and I hope to be able to own something from him soon.

my grandpa is a huge Sinatra fan and has always had this figurine that plays “The Christmas Waltz” in his office. I used to play with it all the time as a kid. Lucky enough he has recently passed it down to me as they‘re downsizing to a condo
