deleting social media off of my phone
After watching the new Eddy Burback video I have been inspired to delete every evil application from my phone so I can actually live my life. I have had Instagram for almost nine years now, so it felt very powerful to delete it <3

I also deleted Instagram at the beginning of this year and it has changed my life! My mind is so much clearer and I can actually focus on my life. I can also read the news again instead of getting intensely angry at rage bait and avoiding the news like the plague. So happy more people are doing this!!

I watched this too! I’ve had YouTube and Instagram deleted from my phone on and off, but I even went and deleted google because I use it for evil (Reddit) (the relationship drama side)

this was such a good video omg. i deleted instagram a couple years ago and it’s been amazing but this video was kinda the push i needed to delete every other time waster on my phone. here’s to a more peaceful future!

delete apps you want to be off of and access on the browser
I know I can't shake instagram for good, i'm not that strong, but I deleted the app and only go on the browser when I really feel like I need to be on it. makes it a much less desirable experience and I spend way less time on my phone in general

i found myself overwhelmed and sick of social media too
i recently began to ask myself why am i using all these apps and do i really need all of them, and i started realizing that the things i’ll miss out with these apps is so much more than without them, i knew i had the idea that my worth was tied to my online presence and i’m happy that i’m getting rid of that mentality.. i had so many memories in my snapchat account but i ended up deleting the account and the app because if i didn't do it than i may never, later that day i removed my twitter accounts and the app from my phone and i’m so glad i did, and i replaced them with healthier and less time consuming apps till i decrease my screen time gradually

DELETE TIKTOK AND BAN YOURSELF FROM REELS
at least, thats what im doing right now. i made excuses to stay on them for so long because they kept me up with whats happening in the world, exposed me to really cool sfuff and whatever. even gave myself a timer on tiktok so i couldnt be on for more than thirty minutes, but two days ago i got fed up and just deleted it. im tired of having a background to all my activities so to speak, i want things to be surrounded by void instead so i can actually feel BORED again and thus partake in more activities and feel fulfilled. all this is to say it may also help if you write down or journal about why you want to be off your phone lol, i made the decision to delete my most used app because i had too much time to think about it during a long class and realized its not making my life any better. Sorry for the rant, i have lowkey also just been wanting to talk about this..

Sometimes I talk to my family or my coworkers or I hear an influencer online say “I’m just a girl hahaha” and I am like oh my godddd how can you still think like “blue means boy pink means girl” !!! And this literally affects their view on everything!!! What do you mean you think female dogs are “more drama” than male dogs!! They’re dogs!!! Get me out of here!!!!

listening to cds
finally using my portable CD player again to listen to my favorite album that isn't on any streaming services anymore!! it's so fun to have physical copies of media I like, and it was great to not use my phone for once (though the CD would pause every time I accidentally bumped into the player while I was walking to class; it was kind of charming but also pretty annoying).
