Went out to Mansfield today and discovered a lovely nature trail! I spent a few hours walking the trails. Weather was perfect and it was nice and quiet out. Also it's bluebonnet season in Texas again! There were lots of clearings alomg the trail just covered in bluebonnets. Absolutely beautiful :) Things like this will always have a part of me in love with my home. Despite it all...

West Texas, on the Mexico border. Super out there– rented a wrangler in El Paso and made a road trip out of it through marfa. Stayed in a boutique hotel 10 min outside the park (willow house) bc I’m not a camper 👑 did a couple hikes, drove around listening to ldr and drinking lone stars. Saw a lot of roadrunners. Love the miles of rolling grass too. Look close and breathe it in. Once you look close you can see each little part of the whole picture. There's something beautiful about the strong roots of the grass, the animals that hide in it, and the way it looks while the wind blows through. It's hypnotizing.

I always liked hiking but never truly 'got' it. Then I went to the Southwest and zen'd out on some desert-y trails (Seven Falls in Tucson for those keeping track at home). Here, during January, you can experience every season in the span of an hour while observing roadrunners in their natural habitat. It's eerily silent and, when it's all said and done, you're hungry enough to eat 10 plates of enchiladas.

Recently I bought the DVD and watched the 1999 animated TV show Cybersix. Absolutely loved it. It was such a neat concept and art style and it so sucks the show never got to be completed. I decided to buy the original comics the show was adapting. Found a full set on Ebay. Lmao didn’t know it was originally a French comic so bit the bullet and paid extra to have this seller ship it to me from France. 😭 Oh well exited to read the full story through google translate I guess.
Haha, anyway I am always looking for new adult media to sink my teeth into. I LOVE animation especially early adult animation. It’s a bummer people simply just don’t get experimental and weird with animation or comics anymore. So I’m often always watching or reading 90s to early and mid 2000s media. Cause everything was so new then people got funky with their ideas.
But yeah watch Cybersix if you can it’s pretty great. After hunting online I found a couple translated chapters to read so I’m hyped to get my hands on the rest!
