if you live in a humid tropical climate, jeans MUST get washed regularly. That stuff gets grimyyyy. Also rain and mud and just.... you have to wash your jeans more often, I smell them a mile away. And so I don't care what country I'm in, my jeans get washed after 3-4 wears. And if I'm getting off a plane, and for some ungodly reason I chose to wear jeans, then those go into the washing machine immediately. i also don't get the hype behind raw denim, like it's just unwashed fabric that will end up in a landfill at some point. With over production to the brim in Asia, we are inundated with denim of all sorts that will take years to break down anyway. I am indifferent regarding the upkeep of denim. It's over produced, over hyped, and filled with polyester most of the time. It's not great.
