deleted the apps today i feel so fucking free dude <3 i’ve only ever been in love with those i have met irl! i just know it’s gonna happen again that way for me and i know it for all of y‘all too :~)
dating apps killed romance. we should not have “gamified” dating. the quick decisions, the instant gratification. i want to meet a mysterious stranger in an alley outside a bar or while people watching on a park bench not through a carousel of seven photos on my screen. help!!!!!
I think the only way dating app could work is if your friends create the profile. You're either too good or not good enough at presenting yourself and none of them are actually truthful
obviously everyone has said it already but it’s so freeing to just get rid of them. being a losergirl i wasn’t having much luck anyway so at first i thought nothing would change but i was wrong. i find that i don’t even think about romance or finding a partner much anymore; just focusing on fixing and bettering my life. focusing on strengthening my friendships, my goals and projects i’m working on satisfies me more then any romantic relationship will currently.
i have more thoughts but i’m bored of typing now
i think trying to summarize our indescribable human souls in hinge prompts and swiping through people like they’re restaurants on doordash is probably bad for us. would love to be in love though! it sounds nice.
Before bed I like to watch 1-2 episodes of curb and I call it curb hour. guaranteed laughs to end the day and who doesn’t want to end the day with laughs
Thanks Larry <3
