A one man journalism operation. He shows up on the scene, camera rolling, and gets the info out straight to the people. Wild photo edits, all caps text, hyper local news.

Some people call it reckless, I call it investigative journalism. If someone wonders as to why I’m up to do anything—non-life threatening of course—it’s because said happening will soon be uploaded onto my blog. - davyn

You shouldn't be getting any news from social media. Go directly to news sites or subscribe to their RSS feeds. I use Axios for national/world news. Idk if they're run by fascists or not, but they do a good job reporting the basic facts and clearly labeling opinions. And to buscemibabe's point, follow your local news operations. Axios has also been investing in this area by hiring local journalists to write daily newsletters for major cities. Check out Axios Local on their site. I've been impressed by their reporting for Nashville.

Every weekday I challenge myself to spend $0. If I frame it as a challenge the boring stuff becomes exciting. Making my lunch at home feels electric, like I’m winning the game. I frequently lose the game buying beers after work. Gas doesn’t count. I saved $900 last month.

The best place on Earth. Drive the Old King's Highway from the bridge to Orleans. Drink a scorpion bowl at Double Dragon, the only Chinese place with a waterfront deck. Stare at the Atlantic until you lose yourself. Drink $3 pints at the Quarterdeck, start a fight, get kicked out, and walk to the 19th Hole. Watch the college kids play baseball under the lights in the summertime. Bike among the old homes and imagine the colonial 1750's. Catch a sunfish and throw it back in.
