I'm actually really excited to go back to school. I'm getting a masters in bioinformatics! The program seems super cool and includes a paid internship at the end.

would you recommend going into bioinformatics?? im in HS as of now, and science (particularly biology) has always been in my interests. and bioinformatics seems to be hot rn. would you suggest it to anyone?? how is the job market??

@MEI I personally love bioinformatics! If you like coding and figuring out stats it could be a really good fit for you! As for job prospects I'd say generally it's pretty good, but this exact moment is looking kinda bleak. (What with all the research funding cuts and hiring freezes)

PLATONIC INTIMACY

I had just taken a volleyball straight to the nose. My glasses had flown off and I was disoriented. The game paused and my team gathered around me asking if I was ok. It hurt, but less than I had thought it would. I was more concerned with making sure my glasses didn't break. While I was inspecting them, one of my teammates noticed that I had a small cut on the bridge of my nose and it was bleeding. I couldn't even tell. Because I couldn't see where the cut was, I asked one of my teammates to put the bandaid on me. It shocked me just how intimate it was to be cared for. I doubt my teammate remembers it as clearly as I do (if at all), but I think this won't be something I forget
