This motherfucker is LOUD. When I first heard it, I thought someone's exotic bird had escaped but apparently they're native to much of NA. The first bird I've ever identified from its call alone! Plus it's a woodpecker.

@WORLDONFIRE There's one that hangs out right near my car at work, but the loud one is high in the trees above my apartment.

This is the bird I’m getting but idk what imma name the lil fella… I think I’ll get to know it first and then choose a name based on that. It’s very beautiful though, black and white.

My right arm currently has ten bird tats on it. It’s a toss up between these two: - The indigo bunting, which is dedicated to a friend of mine who helped me through a really bad time in my life. We bonded over birdwatching when we first met, and the indigo bunting is her favorite bird. - The ivory-billed woodpecker, simply because it’s my favorite bird. Unfortunately extinct, though every few years a possible sighting is reported in the southern US. Its nickname is The Lord God Bird, because that’s what a birdwatcher would shout if they ever saw one.

Poetically, this was going to be the last date before I delete Hinge and take a break for a few months. Message received, loud and clear 🫡 On the bright side, I did get to see this bathroom with two stand mixers and a printer in it
