Whenever I watch The X Files I open up Vinted and I scroll through it like it's a social media app and favouriting anything that vaguely resembles whatever Scully is wearing that day. The rest of my wardrobe is already inspired by Audrey Horne & any fictional man who clearly has autism and likes to wear long coats.
I also own dungarees in exclusively mario and luigi colours that I keep accidentally pairing with blue sweaters

my current obsession is to find out the brands of clothes i see worn on tv series and then look for them on second hand websites. i’ve found a couple cool things so far but my favourite piece was my first ever find - a jacket seen on smallville’s lois lane which i love and it always gets me so many compliments! it’s so fun to channel your favourite characters in that way

A big chunk of my wardrobe is Formula 1 merch (seriously, a big chunk). Another big chunk is merch from artists I love. I have a pair of earrings that are an obscure reference to my favourite tv character. I own at least 3 t-shirts I bought because I saw people I admire wearing them. I once bought a dress because it reminded me of the Bones and All Venice Film Festival poster. I rarely buy clothes unless for practical purposes so if I’m buying something for vanity purposes I want it to mean something to me. It’s not at all for other people to get to know me, it’s just nice to like stuff and incorporate it into my day to day :)
