hear me out! now the subway can't be too crowded and you can't be rushed for time. but when you have a seat (ideally with no neighbors) and a good playlist it can be extremely relaxing to just sit back and relax, watching a never ending stream of strangers enter and leave the train. paired with the gentle and consistent movement of the subway car moving along it all can feel extremely meditative.
there's something so intimate about being on public transport together: thighs touching on the narrow seats, quiet words drowned out by the noise of the vehicle, sharing earbuds.
