Every time I listen to this album I remember why itโs the greatest of all time!!! I donโt know how April makes the craziest arrangements ever and captures every mood so vibrantly but it never gets old

i already posted about this on my music-centric public finsta/meme insta account (@valleygirl5678 as well if ya wanna follow ๐) but wow this album might be one of my faves of the year. after a first listen of a new album i usually dont feel the urge to listen again until at least the next day because i usually need time to let the first listen sort of settle in before going back to it. but this album... like i immediately had the urge to listen again i craved it (a feeling i have honestly not had with a new album since maybe magdalena bay's 'imaginal disk' from last year???) but ya listen to this album u will not regret it!!! such an easy listen but also quite experimental for a rock album which is great its the perfect combo ๐ค

Honestly the only reasonable one for me.
This album (initially Bewitched) deeply influenced my entire listening course upon discovering it. The credits are due to Laufey, but it was Bewitched in particular, that got me back into this jazzy-pop genre (heading towards more classical jazz).
For me, each and every song of Bewitched - The Goddess Edition is beautifully structured and sung. I know a lot of people who believe that all those songs sound the same, but I am convinced you experience a different feeling with every one of them. Claiming that they all would sound the same just doesnโt do this album justice.
It explores love, girlhood, longing and so many more feelings one often keeps deep down to themselves. Laufey manages to portray each one of these feelings so genuinely, I simply could not get sick of listening to this album on repeat.
I might also be biased since I got to listen to her perform this album live, front row (hence the photo :') ) - yet, that was the most entrancing and comforting concert experience I ever got to have.
This album has been alongside me throughout the entirety of 2024 and Iโm glad it was this one. ๐ช๐
