I really recommend this movie if you like films that feel like documentaries and do a wonderful job depicting a specific time and place in culture. America is rotting at its core but movies like this make me want to show it to anyone and say, āthis is what it actually isā

saw natural born killers last night after seeing someone recommend it here, and HOLY SHIT THIS MOVIE WAS INCREDIBLE. it was a cinematic feast with the music video style shots, the animated cuts, the black and white frames, the neon green drug store portion, and the whole sitcom sequence. genius editing and cinematography. there is clearly the entire notion of the American media glorifying serial killers and giving them so much importance that it can almost be seen as them being embraced. but i'm sure the commentary runs deeper, for which i'd need to rewatch the film, i was too focused on the abso-fucking-lutely terrific stylistic choices this time.
also why tf was woody harrelson looking so hot in this geez

This movie left me so profoundly disturbed in a way few other pieces of media have. The premiseāto film perpetrators of the mass murder of communists and other groups under the Suharto regime in Indonesia REENACTING their crimes years later (in classic Hollywood style)āat first seems too bizarre to work. The point of the film is that it was only ever going to work. āInspiringā is actually a good way to describe it: it compels you to look at yourself and your own heart of darkness, not passively but with naked honesty. And whatās chilling and shameful is how watchable it ultimately is. Like nothing Iāve ever seen or will see again.

Unequivocally the most harrowing film I have ever seen and I cannot get it out of my headā¦.
Deeply disturbing , anxiety inducing, compelling, stomach churning. Shot and written with effective precision, without overkill or gratuitous exploitation. Movies about the human will to survive are hard to do without being either corny or played out and this does follow a similar narrative arc but I really appreciated how it was told. I recommend watching the little docu about the making of the film. I loveĀ production. Unbelievable true story and really compelling film

isn't it crazy how when you get a drink in this cup it tastes 100% better than any other type of drinking vessel? You can have the same diet coke or whatever but if it comes in this cup it's going to be much more crisper and tasty. Shout out the Cambro 2000P156 much love
