I went on hike today with two of my friends. We’re in Arkansas for 2 days and it’s been a good time. I dragged us through the devil’s trails and ran off a few times for moments of solitude. I love being outside, but I am a runner. But I like it because I get to be an alone for a while. sometimes my friends worry but I just like existing solo sometimes.
Back to the hole, my friends didn’t want me to go in the hole bc they said I would become one of the dead people. the kind you see on tiktok where they track how the body was crushed when they fell down a too tight hole. I walked past it the first time but I thought about it the whole 20 minutes past it. When we walked back, I ran back to it and went in.

If I got nothing going on and it's nice out in the summer or early/mid fall, there's a pretty good chance I'm going on a hike.
It feels good to get tf away from a lot of the noise and bs, and to instead touch grass, take in nature, and be present with your surroundings as well as yourself. I love solo hikes but I also enjoy going with a close friend or two for some company.
And ofc I enjoy the exercise and challenge/accomplishment! It's pretty sick when you're doing a loop trail and you look back mid-hike to be like "damn I did all that!" The endorphins are flowing, I feel good, and nothing hits like a nice meal and a beer after a hike.
I'm also biased having lived close to the White Mountains my whole life lol

Went up the Hudson and hiked “Anthony’s nose” (great name). love a good medium level hike — a decent feat but not going to make me yell at my boyfriend on the way up .
It was my first time doing a snowy hike. Absolutely beautiful, nothing like crunching the snow with your boots.
At the top we rewarded ourselves with some Chex mix and gatorade. A guy near us smoked a joint and I felt envious of his lungs. reminded me I should’ve brought my inhalor.

Few days late, but I messaged my best friend’s brother for the first time to tell him happy pie day. I went to school with them both growing up but we rarely interacted, now he’s a super-genius & I find him so interesting. I’ve seen him once since we were both adults and his brain is so cool. I’m a lesbian- no hetero intentions- but he is fascinating. We’re going to Boston to stay with him for a week in the summer. Oh- and there’s a photo of my friend and her brother in pie and 3.14 costumes bc their mom is a teacher and they were very cute nerds. They’re both geniuses, kinda cool af
