One of my go-to bits is when a friend says something like “Should we get shots?” I’ll respond with a shrug and say “Hey, it is a Tuesday!” in an enthusiastic/neutral tone as though that means something in particular but it never does.
I throw this is all the time. covers what they do in their free time/ hobbies/ movies they might be seeing, it’s a great open ended one that always leads to more w/o sounding too “get to know you“
i miss having seeing a friend on campus and running small errands with them. as you get older these things become less of a thing, but when it happens, it’s glorious.
