emoji picker takes forever to open on desktop

like 3-4 second delay after i click it. very confusing to my tiny brain. using arc on sequoia 15.3.2

i think this is usually an operating system thing rather than a website thing. how are you opening the emoji picker — a keyboard shortcut? is it always fast on other websites, and consistently slow here? i wound up switching to raycast which is nice as a general app switcher but as a bonus it has a much nicer/ faster emoji picker you can use to replace the system one

Weird UI Delay

In both the app and desktop browser mode, it feels like the experience is just a little laggy. Since there doesn't seem to be a progress ring or bar that shows it's thinking, I end up pressing links maybe 2-5 times and it flashes around when it comes to.

extremely slow hamburger menu unfolding / notification transitions

iirc this started getting really intense post-redesign, but i've had the whole desktop site hang for like a solid 5 seconds before even just opening the menu or clicking on my notifications on several occasions in the last week

GENERAL SLOWNESS & BUTTON FUNCTIONALITY

Response times are super slow on my phone. I have an iphone xr and I know many apps don’t cater to that, but i often have a 2-3 second delay between hitting buttons and it actually taking. with emojis/links/pictures, it jumps to 8-10 seconds. so i often hit buttons twice or more and then have to double back. the theme tab in particular is super slow, taking me 6-8 seconds before any change is registered (besides haptics). theme tab would also benefit from labels for the custom themes (i.e. background, text, accent).
