as well as the prequel Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon. One of the best fantasy series I've ever read. Such a well thought out world with a deep history and different nations with unique cultures that help drive the story in an interesting way. Plus women are the powerful main characters!! I just love it so so much!!

nothing more i hate than fantasy books overcome with elf peen. so you should read the priory of the orange tree (lgbt characters, yes multiple, beautiful world building, delicious descriptions, very low spice but when itβs there itβs actually tasteful and pleasant, dragons also). i also have recommend this one million times and iβll never stop: between two fires. medieval horror with angels and demons and plague and river monsters. too good

Great high fantasy series. Does such a good job world building and putting characters in genuinely interesting circumstances. Plus, thereβs like 20 books so you can stay in the world.

oh this is my favorite story. in high school this boy that liked me asked me to hang out, i left a birthday party to go see him. went to his house. we go to the basement to watch a movie. i put on the 2009 Disney classic. G-Force. With the star-studded cast including (but not limited to) Nicolas Cage, Zach Galifanakis, Tracy Morgan, and Penelope Cruz. about 40 minutes in I get the feeling I am being watched. I turn. I am being watched. said boy kissed me (on the mouth). G-force is still playing. they are about to escape the pet store. we kiss for maximum 2 minutes. I stand up abruptly after and run out the door mumbling that i have to work tomorrow. years later he told me he was in love with me.
