Itβs by Kazuo Ishiguro. I love the style of writing. Itβs sensitive and exciting and relatable. I also enjoy the philosophy behind the story that unfolds. And of course, the way it unfolds!
less talk of ears, but equally abstract in mood like Murakami. If you like the crime genre, In The Miso Soup by Ryu Murakami is excellent (pacing, mood etc.). Turned my day to night.
