i became obsessed with Todd's album Healing in 2022, and the three parts of the title song especially resonated thematically with where i was at in my life that year. i wanted to make my own cover version to embody that resonance and pay homage to the original production, which IMO was incredibly ahead of its time both in vision and scope. the album pretty much foreshadowed the progression of music technology into today's environment of singer/songwriter/producers working alone with DAWs and bedroom setups, being a one man studio album for everything except mastering i think and this was 40+ years ago. i'm not a singer so i shopped the instrumental around to some folks i knew for years until i met my friend Mollie in school last semester and found out that she's actually a sick singer. the song won't be up on streaming/bandcamp until mid-march but y'all can listen with the link early since y'all are chill
