this was supposed to just keep me going for a night as i only had my kindle (i share a kindle account with my mum so i get all the books she’s bought on it and this was one) and was going to my mums the next day where the book i was going to read next was but the 10 pages i read hooked me a bit so i’m just reading this one and i’m quite enjoying it!
i recommend jessie burtons other book the miniaturist which is also really good
i’m on 3/15 for my 2025 reading goal but i’ll probably slow down soon as this books a bit longer than the others i’ve read this year

i have about 50 pages left and it really is probably the best book I’ve ever read (which isn’t a lot but hopefully will be a more consistent hobby from now on) it’s just so fun even though what’s happening is so disturbing and it’s the kind of book where it’s 2am and I’m reading and get to the end of a chapter but have to read the next one because its so engaging

I bought a book that caught my eye from a bookstore in Boston either as a high schooler or college student. As a busy, unmotivated ex-reader, I could barely get past the first 10 pages.
For at least four years but probably more, I’ve picked up and read the first few pages a few times. It’s come with me to every apartment and most vacations.
I read some books for pleasure last year, the first since middle school, and felt like a baddie. Then I started a meh book and fell off the reading train.
I brought this new book on a trip this weekend and started it over yesterday. It is so good. I just finished it. I knew it was worth taking everywhere. Am very proud of myself :,)

got an exam tomorrow that i’m naturally feeling awful about but am i allowed to luck farm 🤲🤲🤲 i need all that i can get
it like an exam for my final grade for the subject for the year so pretty much it could matter but if i don’t badly i’ll say it won’t but the thing that like i’m upfront worried about is having to actually do it like if i sit down and can’t do any of the essay options (theres like 5 to choose from but that’s not as kind as it sounds cause they’re all pretty specific and difficult) that would be like the worst thing ever so yay
