CONTROVERSIAL!! tw: group sex, sexual violence, dubious consent, suicide, child neglect, domestic abuse, sexual harassment (18+ obvi) a lot of people didn’t like this book but personally i LOVED it! 10/10! 5 stars! the characters are well-rounded and HOT. so if you like a spicy book, give it a shot for yourself!

cassandra at the wedding

oh my goddd my friends have all gotten tired of me talking about this book because i literally bring it up whenever someone asks for book recs but it’s sooo amazingly written it’s a shame it isn’t more well known!! the plot is fairly simple, a woman named cassandra comes home from college to attend her twin sister’s wedding, but where it really shines is the unique character studies and the fun/relatable prose and inner monologue! it was written by dorothy baker in the 60s, and is pretty progressive for the time (the main character is lesbian which was definitely not accepted much back then!!) anyways i would definitely read it if you’re a fan of very down to earth and relatable stories! (although trigger warning for suicidal ideations, its not graphic but still!)
