I adore this video of Mr. Rogers, a hero of mine. Watch as he completely brings this hardass senator around by being himself and sharing his gift. It’s simple, but who else has such a kind and gentle energy? That’s not something you can fake. He was and is such a gift to this world.

I feel like so many people feel like you have to either be kind or be firm and he really shows that you can be both, especially for something you believe in. I wish I could learn this type of advocacy. If anyone knows how to, I’d take their course!
