try to find them irl so you can ensure theyāre not like fucked up or anything. my understanding is that they started cutting corners on quality in the early 00s by no longer making them in england, they also no longer offer repairs which sucks (as soft noted they do kinda suck now!)
i have 2 pair of docs shoes and 1 sandal and theyāreā¦ okay but the wear and tear is noticeable and started way too early (did not learn until recently what detailed above! if i did i wouldāve got āvintageā or another brand). if not i would look into other brands

šI still wear docs Bc I was lucky enough to get the lifetime warranty ones in 2016, so Iāve gone through like 4 or 5 pairs since then. The quality has TANKED. they last me like max two years before theyāre falling apart.

I usually search for very specific things. I wanted just the classic doc Martin black sandals. I found some for half the price, hardly worn, but they are platform and I didnāt realize it lol so thatās been an adjustment
