she is a fisher-price puffalump that my great grandmother gifted me as a baby. she’s named after her and while i don’t remember my great grandmother, i know and feel that she loved me. i have awful memory regarding my childhood but i vividly remember my first and only day of preschool, the teacher took norma from me during naptime for communal toy purposes and i raised hell. she was always very important to me and i took fantastic care of her.
the kicker is the norma pictured here is not the original <3 we moved a lot growing up and i lost her in a move when i was around 13. a few years ago my mom and sister surprised me with the exact puffalump that they found on ebay for my birthday and it remains one of my favorite gifts to this day. i choose to believe my great grandma’s love is still present in this one <3

nana's Wall tapestry

i was gazing at a photo of my grandma and was thinking about how stylish she was, and how much i loved how she decorated.
i was combing through all the decor i could see in the photo and saw the wall tapestry, and a wave of nostalgia hit me.
i decided to try to find a similar one to hang in her honor.
per usual ebay was the jackpot 💗

Cheeks the baboon

my most meaningful possession i own is definitely my stuffed animal Cheeks (you’ve met him!). he’s not a trinket per say but he’s definitely the most meaningful! first thing i grab if there’s ever a fire truly. he’s just so important to me and has always been there for me emotionally since day one. here’s a picture of him with my grandma from this past winter! also i have a habit of going about life as if toy story is non-fiction so he is fully sentient to me as well as all my other stuffed animals ,,
on the subject of trinkets though i am very much a collector. when i’m out with my family my dad always says “you can get that on amazon” but that defeats the whole purpose! i very much tie memories to little souvenirs and find significance in them which always brings me joy. i’m very easily distracted so when i get bummed out in any way, having trinkets around always without fail will lift my spirits.
