a polyhedron crown upon his head,
weary, wizened eyes, astute, they spread.
surely Mandelbrot, as we, would offer liking,
of his fractals in fur, abstraction, ever striking.
though tired of the world, its axis tilted spin,
he offers his secrets from deep within:
“I, Benoit, will share with you,
the insights I have come to view.
food is good, but naps are best,
pats, forbidden, when I’m in zest.”
