I found a slug, real sleek and glossy, his tentacles stretch, so criss-crossy! is he patient, resolute, can I ask, does time for him in stillness bask? is movement a pulse, a quiet beat, the ground below, his world complete. our clocks tick fast, his pace is slow, a rhythm we should learn to know. *in his world, there’s not rush or worry, just the present, no need to hurry*

I’m too dear with lovely things. I keep the brooch my 2nd grade teacher gave me in a box, safe, and because of this I’ve never worn something I really like! I recently decided I needed to wear my brooch with the sweater I finished knitting this weekend. It made it feel even more special. :)

I was talking to a friend who’s visiting home after being abroad and we both agree that not seeing familiar trees fills you with a certain longing/loneliness. I love western red cedars!
