I'm throwing one at my university! Its gonna be herstorical.✨️ Its cold and dreary here in the Northeast US. People are sad, isolated and lacking community, so its time to party!! Let looose and celebrate the women who have come before us, the women we are or love and fill ourselves up with the love of our community.❀️ There will trivia, prizes, a costume contest, drag queens, and a local femme DJ. I'm also making a zine to hand out on "How to Smash the Patriarchy." I have a lot of resources for this since I'm planning it through our DEI department but please celebrate in anyway you can. Get creative and get dancing!!!πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

Making non-commercial as cheap as possible things for your friends to come to!!!! I️ throw these silly little indie dance parties in dc, and it’s so fun to slowly develop a little community in such a transient city. Next one is in April!

I live in a suburb and have no clue how anyone builds community, but I'm trying to learn. For half a year, I had a monthly part that included movie nights, dinners, and trivia, one of which was French Salon-themed. We all dressed in 19th-century garb, spoke about philosophy, and played the game Dirty Laundry (Thx Dropout). I shut off all the lights in my house and only used candles for the evening. I spent fifteen hours straight cooking and custom menus. Similar night themes included: Tumblr Party, Coming of Age Film, Lesbian Movie Night, Scooby Doo, Summer's End, etc. Overall, good community-building effort, will do it again. Side Note: Despite its career effects on graphic designers, no one has a stranglehold on me more than Canva when making party invitations.

Tell me your hopes dreams passions! Be freaakin vulnerable. Everyone is scared of vulnerability but it is what connects us. I love wearing my heart on my sleeve. ❀️ Yes my vulnerabilities have been used against me before, numerous times unfortunately, but I've learned to have better boundaries and sniff out the actors. Learning boundaries isn't that hard either and you don't have to take the hard route like I. So "my type" are people that are vulnerable and let themselves feel everything! No holding back. Free to feel.
