january’s one of my fav months; beyond general feelings of renewal, new releases slow down for a bit and it gives me the opportunity to comb my library for artists & albums i’ve neglected while trying to keep up with the zeitgeist 😵💫 some rapid fire picks, new and old —
though only slightly! joanne robertson & dean blunt: backstage raver alison’s halo: eyedazzler sinéad o’ connor: universal mother yatta: palm wine parannoul: sky hundred i’ve also been addicted to jane remover’s newest single; with each new release i feel like we discover a new facet to her. the new ethel cain record was really good, too :)
My favorites so far this month have been Batmobile - Liz Phair, Florist - Abby Sage and most of all Touch Tank - Quinnie which is so good and does an amazing job at explaining why queer little me still loves men
