maybe if i stayed places longer but for me itās been a combination of, it feels gross putting my stuff in the drawers; also some of my traveling is international so there isnāt even that option in small b&b/boutique hotels, plus when iām staying somewhere just a few nights before going elsewhere itās a fuss; and why spend extra time packing/unpacking when i could spend that time doingā¦

iāll always take all of my makeup and washbag goods out of my suitcase to put on the dresser, then iāll hang any dresses that need hanging, everything else stays in the suitcase.

iām moving out soon and iāve been in a giant empty house all summer and it has successfully driven me insane multiple times, and iām still in the process of throwing things out day by day so every day the space iāve known for three years is only getting emptier
so i started leaving clean laundry in a little pile, unread new yorkers in a different pile, a stuffed animal to be put in vacuum bag but rn just sits on top of an opened and packed suitcase full of stuff, a bag of things to be thrown out right besides my bed, and iām proud to say that my room has never looked messier
this is the one time that iām sure somehow the mess is helping my mental health instead of making it worse

i had it for a little over a year until i was like wow this is actually terrible! i genuinely think it has negatively impacted society by ruining peopleās attention spans, having a horrific algorithm, and most of all by the most mind-numbing or outright harmful trends -
fake words that people now use IRL (āunaliveā), trad wife tiktok, shein hauls, body-focused fitness vids that encourage fatphobia and unhealthy habits, shallow political/feminist theory and queer discourse, āalpha maleā podcaster tiktok, encouraging overconsumption in general, trends ruining local spots or niche thingsā¦ the list goes on
