such an interesting question my goodness.
i’ll always take all of my makeup and washbag goods out of my suitcase to put on the dresser, then i’ll hang any dresses that need hanging, everything else stays in the suitcase.
organize and pack everything by what room they go in even if similar things are separated (ex: living room books don’t go with bedroom books, bathroom jewelry doesn’t go with bedroom jewelry) so that you can just unpack one room at a time instead of having things from multiple rooms in one box and then having to bounce around to unpack it. much less chaotic this way and easier to see progress/feel productive.
I got too much going on to know where my shit is. Plus I have things that go missing ALL the time. I last year invested in having the wonderful Kathy come and professional organize all my stuff and I’ve NEVER ever looked back. I get ready in two seconds, I know where my hot sauce is and my eyeshadows are labelled. Bliss!
I really love feeling clean. But I also hate falling asleep with wet hair. But I can also just wear a beanie in the morning. And I know I won’t shower tomorrow if I put it off tonight. I want to feel clean.
