Dora Jar has got to one of my favorite artists I’ve recently discovered. Her music is so fun and whimsical, makes me feel like I’m wandering through fields of flowers. I’ve been slowly making my way through her discography and haven’t been let down by a single song yet 💫

Dude I fucking loved this thing. I lover her voice I love the productions, the contrast of the acoustics guitar to the Grimes/St. Vincent style I think theres a lot of beautiful stuff on this record. You can especially hear the Grimes elements on cannonball (I say Grimes it’s mostly Art Angel vibes I get). No Way To Relax When You Are On Fire is so beautiful and such a nice contrast to the rest of the album. her voice also sounds just so good on this track specifically. it’s so upbeat and it REALLY makes me want to dance. So so good couldn’t recommend this album more. I don’t understand how anyone couldn’t like this album. favourite tracks: Timelapse, Smoke Out the Window, NWTRWYAOF and She Loves Me.

I heard the first track of this album recently and was hooked! Jazz harp - who knew it was so good?! I’ve listened to a few other albums of hers and they are all great for cooking, sipping wine, and relaxing 😎

One of my closest and oldest friends I have known since we were in elementary school is Indian. We would usually hang out at her house and one of the meals her mom made a lot was dal. I was always so excited to eat at her place, her mom would make us up plates and would always offer extras and I always felt so loved. Anytime I have dal I feel so warm inside and comforted like a child. My relationship with my friend and her family is still so strong despite not seeing each other often. Indian food of any kind (whether its homemade, store bought, or from a restaurant) remains my main comfort meal, but nothing compares to her mothers cooking and the conversations we would have while eating 🫶
