i couldnt pick one because i cant look at anything ive made and not see the failures in either execution or symbolism BUT these all come from an intense place in my heart and i am proud of them! in particular the modern communion still life i still think is one of the best ideas i’ve ever had but my high school acrylic execution was weak… in comparison to the oil still life in the corner thats very pretty but very meaningless!

I remember all the paintings and this one was always such a fixture for me
- Artemisia Gentileschi, Judith and Her Maidservant: it’s definitely the theater adult in me that lives and loves Baroque but with that in mind - the lighting in this is so powerful

i wouldn’t say they are specifically my favorite, but when i was in chicago i saw the study paintings he did before the main one. it just reminded me that in a lot of cases artists just don’t create out of their ass; theres planning involved in a lot of it.
