It’s probably gonna be a long time before I ever do karaoke again cause I only sang with this one person whom I adored but unfortunately that friendship ended up being a complete lie and I got caught up in an irl Se7en-esque plot twist where I was the Brad Pitt character. Eventually I’ll find the right person to sing with again.
Anyways, yeah, love Nirvana. Love that song, I’m usually overcritical of myself but I think I can carry that song pretty well, it’s less about how skilled you are vocally and how well you can carry the weight of what Kurt wrote.
Also love doing Otis by Jay-Z and Kanye West, Lord Only Knows by Beck and Wicked Game by Chris Isaak.
If I’m hammered enough with a friend, New Tank by Playboi Carti becomes a right of passage.

I’m unbearable about karaoke. In my place in London it is functionally impossible to come round and have drinks without me at some point insisting it’s karaoke time. i performed this in sunglasses at my 80's new wave birthday party & now my friends have requested repeat performances of it at other parties so I guess it is my go-to!!
I also enjoy doing Bring Me To Life by Evanescence because it's hilarious to try to sing both parts. I have to stay away from Rock Lobster because my friend and I yelled it so loud that the cops showed up at my door :/

I don’t understand how yall end up at these random ass places you do, come across the books on ancient polyrhythmic science or whatever you read, listen to those indescribably niche tracks I’ve never heard of before or since, or host art installations from your makeshift garage, but I love hearing about every little bit of it, beyond fascinating to know all your stories and passions and the things that occupy ya mind and keep you alive. It’s like a big canvas comprised of different jagged pieces that all add up to a whole.
I’ve only been on the app for two weeks or so and it’s already partly helped me heal from a lotta past grief and pain so I’m grateful to interact with yall.

It’s cool to learn new things, it’s cool to develop some new skills. It’s cool to be able to access a whole bunch of data and knowledge at your fingertips.
