i bought a cute plant from ikea to decorate the bathroom with and i put it on the sink but i’m so clumsy and i somehow hit it while brushing my teeth. the ceramic pot fell, soil was everywhere and a shard scraped my ankle leaving a small hole.
as for my second scar i was on a study trip to france living with a host family and they had a glass front door that was already shattered and with all its pieces barely hanging together. they were gonna replace it that same week because it was also so hard to close and i ended up cutting my middle finger trying to do so lmao. ikea was immediately forgiven but my beef with french people still continues ☝️

👟i have a scar on my knee from tripping on nothing and falling up a concrete staircase on campus. it didn’t even cut my knee, i just smashed it so hard that the skin broke. not even that long ago too
my other most notable scars are on my ankle, and they happened because i lost my shoe in the ocean and swam out to get it, but as i was walking back, a huge wave came up and smashed me down and dragged me along the bottom (which was mostly comprised of sharp rocks and shells). it cut up my ankle and foot pretty badly, but i didn’t notice until i walked all the way back to shore and my cousins said ‘you’re bleeding’. i got my shoe back though

🔪mom was using a machete to clear the tall weeds in our yard at our new house in Thailand. i walked up behind her to ask a question and got caught in her backswing. i clutched my elbow and saw a dark red streak go down my arm. it was so deep you could see ligaments and fat tissue. we had to drive 45 mins into town to get stitches and tetanus shot but at least i got out of yard work for the day. lucius is so jealous of this scar lmao
i also have a scar on my leg from a lipoma (benign fat tumor) that needed removal in high school. and a huge scar from surgery to repair my broken collarbone from the seatbelt that saved me from dying in a horrible accident in college. i have metal plates and screws holding me together. and a few scars on my hands and wrists from the broken windshield glass.

🩸when u was really young like 3 i was playing with my big brother while my mum was in the shower and he ran into the bathroom then closed my finger in the door
i had to get stitches for it which you can still see on the scar which is quite weird like you can actually see like zig zags and my nail is split but it’s not that noticeable
my mum tells the story sometimes of when i got it and was staying in hospital overnight and i had some sort of hook in my finger to keep stuff in place and i just pulled it straight out
this was in a room full of children doing all sort pulling off their masks and messing with their bandages or whatever and the alarms were constantly going off to monitor this which sounds like the worst night ever

📖i'm gonna break the news to everyone this weekend but i need to tell someone right now - i passed the selection process for a one year internship at my local library with the highest score !!! it will be my first job and i felt so bad and out of place in every job interview i've ever had except for this one, the people there were so lovely and were genuinely interested in me and my interests. i can't believe it, i'm so excited i could cry :'))
