As a kid, I didnât understand English for the first few years of my early life, but I LOVED movies and soundtracks. In retrospect, I think I clung onto the music so much more than most kids because it helped me understand the plot in the absence of dialogue.
That being said: The Incredibles was one of my favorite movies (which we watched on our big box TV) because of how exhilarating and suspenseful it felt as a kidâ all thanks to the amazing jazz soundtrack. Highly recommend listening to it, and if you havenât watched the movie itâs completely fine; imo this soundtrack is one you can vibe and enjoy without any plot context

I specifically listen to the how to train your dragon soundtrack 1) because I like the series and 2) it's super motivating. superhero movie soundtracks also work but I would just pick your favorite movie and see if it works for you

when i was in middle school i read this book and the main character listened exclusively to movie soundtracks because it makes them feel like theyâre in a movie and that one really struck a chord within me and iâve been a movie/tv/video game soundtrack devotee since, here are some favorites:

With all of the arcs, thereâs a real advantage to listening to soundtracks in studio. I started listening to Desplatâs soundtrack for Birth a month ago after rewatching the movie (and realizing how the entire movie relies on the soundtrack) and now Iâm hooked on his entire discography. You know something good is gonna happen when the shape of water pops up.Also strangely love all of the French Dispatch songs (might even watch the movie some day)

I have to disagree with the people who say that we need to âstayâ and âfightâ for IG to be a better platform because in actuality, itâs our presence and engagement that gives them data, and therefore money. As long as they have those 2 things, they make their bottom line and wonât really care about its users desires unless theyâre making a move for the optics.
If we REALLY want to hold them accountable, we need to impact the money they make, which means permanently deleting or marking your account as inactive & never coming back. Theyâll only care if theyâre bleeding moneyâ so make them bleed.

Now more than ever we gotta show up for the causes we care about!!! Online reposting and presence is good but it doesn't get the full job done unless we show up and show out!!!! Show up to your city/town hall meetings and be an active participant if you are able, bc if we don't speak IRL we don't exist
