one of my favorite De Palma movies. a really original telling of a deep conspiracy, and the set design is to die for the whole time.

It’s perfect; so are these:
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Tobe Hooper, 1974) The Seventh Continent (Michael Haneke, 1989) Wanda (Barbara Loden, 1970) Eden and After (Alain Robbe-Grillet, 1970) Persona (Ingmar Bergman, 1966) Agatha and the Limitless Recordings (Marguerite Duras, 1981) Come and See (Elem Klimov, 1985) Angst (Gerald Kargl, 1983) Possession (Andrzej Ć»uƂawski, 1981)
peep the vibe tbh

Holy shit, this was so good. Allow me to reference critic reviews:
Noel Murray and Scott Tobias of The A.V. Club put Blow Out at #1 of their list of De Palma's besThe quintessential De Palma film, this study of a movie craftsman investigating a political cover-up marries suspense, sick humor, sexuality, and leftist cynicism into an endlessly reflective study of art imitating life imitating art. & In 2023, Time selected Blow Out as part of their list 100 Best Movies of the Past 10 Decades, praising it as "a film filled with mistrust, one where the ghosts of Chappaquiddick and the Zapruder film lurk in the corners."

tired of seeing TUBI slander. past few months I have been loving TUBIs selection of cult and older films. Truly one of the best streaming services for movie lovers and for free (with ads i know).
CAN WE PLEASE END THE TUBI STIGMA.
bonus: Pluto is pretty good too.
Don’t knock it till you try it.

Feel like nothing encapsulates retro futurism more than ads about the synthesizer revolution

Started using Arena for getting inspiration on design work and visual art and have been loving it. I removed all social media (instagram, twitter, snapchat), but still found myself doomscrolling on reddit or across the web that was sucking my energy. Arena makes me scroll and find things but feels more exciting and positive. It’s similar to pinterest but really like following people and diving into different connections.
I’m sure a lot of you on here would love it!
