Rec'd on 🕯️ what are you nostalgic for?

I remember working my first job at an ice cream shop and hearing Minus the Bear for the first time on a mix cd my coworker made. I knew I loved it immediately, and they felt so unique. Experiences don’t hit like that for me anymore. I still love music, but my experience with it is so different now. I blame my brain fully forming 🧠

I've been thinking about this lately too! And I think I've been so aware of it changing too, because I remember music used to be something I felt so bone deep, but my parents would be like once you get older it's just not as exciting as it seems for you now. Of course I still really really love music but they were kind of right, it doesn't consume me the way it used to, and feeling that transition has been sad.
